GigSpace is excited to share the forward momentum generated for the Ottawa Live Arts Community, as we move full steam ahead into 2019!
Fall Update – 2018
Response has been overwhelmingly positive to our shout out for Expression of Interest in the Arts Hub.
Feedback to date represents a cross section of artistic disciplines including visual arts, dance, theatre, music and artisan trades.
The CEO of Ottawa Community Housing, Stéphane Giguère, has provided a personal letter of support to Ottawa Live Arts.
Gigspace has received support from the City of Ottawa Capital Cultural Funding section, as well as local councillors for Somerset and Kitchissippie Wards.
Phase 1 and Phase 2 of pre-project development completed for Ottawa Live Arts.
What’s Next – 2019
GigSpace will initiate a Feasibility Study in early 2019. In preparation for a Capital Fundraising campaign, the board will be consulting with lawyers, chartered accountants, theatre designers, media relations, financial advisors, and architects. Final decisions will be made regarding the participating arts organizations, and an architectural illustration will be developed for the Ottawa Live Arts Community… and much much more!
We are very thankful for the unwavering support, encouragement and help received from the local community.
We wish you all the best for a Happy New Year!
